Jarome Iginla scored his 600th goal on January 4, 2016 in a game at the Pepsi Center vs. the Los Angeles Kings. He beat goalie Jhonas Enroth at 13:02 of the 3rd period. At the time, he was a member of the Colorado Avalanche.
Below is an updated version as of May 30, 2022. It shows the remarkable progress that Alex Ovechkin has made in his journey to the top level of goal scoring in the NHL. He had 646 NHL goals when I created the original page, currently he sits at 780 goals.
I've been playing around with different ideas on how to display the game ticket.
Iginla: career year
2001-2002
With 96 points (1.17 pts. per game) Iggy led the league in 2001-2002, and earned the Art Ross Trophy. He also topped the NHL goal-scoring chart with a career best 52 tallies, good for the Richard Trophy. Additionally, his colleagues in the NHLPA honored him with the Lester B. Pearson Award as the players' choice for MVP.
"Rocket Richard" trophy winning season
2003-2004
The 2003-04 NHL season was one of Iggy's best. He lit the lamp 41 times and shared the Maurice Richard Trophy with Rick Nash and Ilya Kovalchuk. Add in his 32 assists and he would finish up with 73 points for the season. He also scored 10 game winning goals and 4 short handed goals that season. Iggy would finish second in voting behind Martin St. Louis for the Hart Memorial Trophy, and cap off his season by winning the King Clancy Memorial Trophy. (Awarded annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice, and who has made a significant humanitarian contribution to his community).
UD Black 2009-2010 Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy
This page shows all 4 of the cards featuring Jarome Iginla and relating to the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy in 2009/2010 UD Black.
Classic 1995-1996
Jarome Iginla's rookie cards come from 1994-1995, before he even played a game in the NHL. These 1995-96 Canadian Hockey League (CHL) cards produced by Classic Marketing, Inc. show him as a member of the Kamloops Blazers, a team that plays in the Western Hockey League (WHL).
There are 2 versions for the reverse of the autographed card. You can tell that it is an early version of Iginla's autograph, he signed each letter of his first name. I don't think that lasted very long.
BAP In The Game-Used 2002-2003
To my knowledge this represents the entire group of Iginla cards in this series. It is possible that there could be additional show cards, but they are not listed in the checklist that I have. The print run for the gold cards is 10, and 75 for the Jersey and Jersey & Stick cards. The Franchise Jersey has a print run of 65, and the Triple Memorabilia has a print run of 35. The Emblem card has a print run of 9.

Topps Pristine issued 13 cards featuring Jarome Iginla, with 4 of them being printing plates #1/1. That leaves 9 other cards, a grouping that I recently finished. Lots of shiny goodness in this group!
Checklist Center offers the following description for Topps Pristine 2003-04:
"2003-04 Topps Pristine is an odd product that has a pack within a pack format to it. Each of the five packs in a box has 3 inner packs to it, with one of the 5 having a 4th inner pack. The first of these inners has an “uncirculated” card, which is essentially a refractor version of the other cards. The second inner contains a relic or printing plate, and the 3rd card is a mix of veteran and rookie base cards. The special 4th inner pack contains a mini card. Boxes also offer Gold Refractor Die-Cut cards, these are limited to one per box and are serial numbered out of 33. Each of the “uncirculated” cards also comes in a sealed toploader." Lot's of shiny goodness in this group!
Panini Certified 2010-2011
Topps c55 2003-04
The 2003-04 Topps C55 Hockey set was released in December of 2003. It derives both its namesake and design from the “C55” hockey cards that were distributed with cigarettes during the 1911-12 season. Though the true maker of the original “C55” set is unknown, it is generally believed to have been manufactured by a company called Imperial Tobacco. This set featured line-art drawings of hockey players from the early 20th century. The Topps C55 set tries to copy its predecessor as closely as possible, with its use of solid-colored backgrounds and “illustration-like” photos with a mezzotint-like pattern applied.
This set was issued in the standard 2 1/2-inch by 3 1/2-inch size, but also had a parallel set that was 1 1/2 by 2 1/2. There are one hundred fifty-five cards in the set. The first 130 cards are of veteran players, while the last 25 are short-printed rookie cards. Several different versions of the minis appear, with the different names listed on the back. Where it normally would say “Topps C55” instead it says “America”, “O’ Canada”, “Brooklyn”, “Stanley Cup” or “Bazooka”. The "America" and “O’ Canada” also have a red back version. It is alleged that the print run for the “Bazooka” version was only five copies of each card. (info from Puck Junk)
Parkhurst 2002-2003
2002-03 Parkhurst was manufactured under the ITG brand and paid particular attention to the history of the game. Featured players span across the many years of hockey history and the product even offers vintage memorabilia for fans to chase. Show cards were produced for the All-Star game, SportsFest in Chicago, and The National in Atlantic City.
Splendor 2017-2018
As a wannabe historian, mention the word splendor to me and the first thing that pops into my head is Louis XIV, the Sun King. It's an automatic reaction, I can't help myself. Louis XIV was king of France from 1643-1715, and it was during his reign that the palace of Versailles was expanded and became the principal royal residence. Versailles is a wonderful example of splendor in all areas (eg. furnishings, grounds, architecture, etc.).
Since Upper Deck has now introduced the name Splendor into it's hockey products, it's time to start making a new hockey connection with that word. There are 16 cards for Iggy in Splendor, with 4 of them being 1/1 cards. My focus has been on pulling in the other 12 cards, and I now have all 12 of them. The Silver Sticks card is still in the mail, so I won't be including it at this time. For those of you unfamiliar with Splendor, there are a couple of parallels within the group of cards that I'm showing. Cards numbered out of 5 (gold parallel), 11 (red parallel), 22 (silver parallel), and 36 (base) come in a bordered and borderless version. There is a black & white base #/27, a black & white copper parallel #/12, and a black & white gold parallel #/6.
The card that I am missing is the Borderless Gold Parallel #/5. update: November 28, 2018, I now have this card thanks to the generosity of Tony (aflamesfan on HI), who contacted me and sold the card to me. I have updated the image above as well as the description below.
Left side top to bottom:Bordered Gold Parallel #/5, Borderless Gold Parallel #/5, Bordered Red Parallel #/11, Borderless Red Parallel #/11
Middle:Black & White Gold Parallel #/6, Black & White Copper Parallel #/12, Black & White Base #/27
Right side top to bottom:Bordered Silver Parallel #/22, Borderless Silver Parallel #/22, Bordered Base #/36, Borderless Base #/36
It's nice to see that Iggy is maintaining a presence in a higher end product without having a ton of cards to chase.
Iginla MVP
With Iggy's retirement things have slowed a bit, although there are still high end cards to chase (ie. Splendor). This is giving me a chance to organize my cards and revisit some of the early cards that I haven't looked at for awhile. With my pc approaching 3300 cards there is definitely a need for a system to be in place so that I'm not just bouncing around from box to box. My preferred method is to look at small year sets, and follow that series up through the years. This thread will be looking at Upper Deck MVP cards. I'm going to start at the beginning with the 1998-1999 set, which is comprised of 5 cards. They are: base #34, Silver Script, Gold Script #/100, Super Script #/25, and ProSign (auto). I've managed to complete almost all of the first 5 years of MVP cards, so I'll be adding up to the 2002-2003 season as I complete the pages.
Iginla Stadium Club
Upper Deck's "Stadium Club" cards make an appearance in my Iginla pc from the 1999/2000 season to the 2002/2003 season. I have all of the cards, but I'm missing the printing plates from 1999/2000. The Award Winner card at the top of the second page comes from a small set of 6 cards (2002).
The Refractor card comes from a framed set that was available from BAP. Offer cards were inserted in packs (not sure if in every pack or randomly inserted), and you could send in the card with your money (heard $374.99 as a possible price) to receive a framed set of Link 2 History cards. These cards were different from the normal version in two ways.
1) The bottom left corner on the regular cards (underneath the word PINNACLE) has a different color depending on the team the player played for (eg. Flames = red, Penguins = yellow, Ducks = teal, etc.). On the Refractor cards that area is black for all of the cards.
2) The foil used for the Pinnacle Logo, the Rookie Logo, around the words "Link 2 History", and around the word "PINNACLE" is ridged on the normal version of the card. The framed set version is smooth and similar to a gold refractor type of finish.
I believe that I am missing 2 cards from the 2003-2004 series, the base gold (#/15) and the variation silver (#/67). The 2005-2006 series is complete from the checklists that I have seen.
You can find larger scans of the Crown Royale cards by going to Pacific - Pacific 2001-2002 from the menu. The backs of all the cards are there as well, showing the serial numbers on the blue and red versions.
Warriors of Ice
This small 6 card set called "Warriors of Ice" is from 2009-2010 Collector's Choice.
Iginla: artistic impressions
This is a smallish set from 2002-2003, which I haven't quite completed, but the cards were too colorful to ignore. I am missing the Retrospectives Gold card (#/25), but I believe all of the other cards are here. To my knowledge there is no silver parallel in the base set. There is also some artwork that is part of this series: a) Original Artwork (#24 in the set), and b) Original Artwork Signed (#5 in the set), both of which I am missing. I was fortunate to pick up the Signed Case Topper from Chris (forsberg21), something that I am very grateful for. I had to take a picture of it from the side in order to have the signature show up. When I tried taking a picture from straight ahead you can't see the auto.
Below is a link to the checklist, with a picture of the Iginla from the Original Artwork Signed Set as a bonus.
Pacific Revolution cards make an appearance in my Iginla pc for 4 seasons. They start in 1997-98 and go through the 2000-01 season. If you like shiny cards and chasing parallels, then Revolution fits the bill. For 1997-98 we have 5 cards with different colored foil, but no serial numbers. I've seen a red parallel listed in a checklist, but I have it on good authority from several fellow hobbyists that the red version was never produced. The 1998-99 season saw 3 cards, and we now have serial numbers appearing on the back of the cards.
In 1999-00 there were 9 cards produced, including one of the oddest Iginla cards in my pc. It was described as an "ornament", and came with a cord included so that you could hang it on your Christmas tree. I am missing the Copper and Premiere Date cards from this series. There are also a couple of very tough parallels that I managed to pull in, the CSC gold (1/1) and silver (#/25) parallels. CSC stands for Continental Sports Cards, a distributor of hockey cards in Canada.
Lots of parallels again for 2000-01, and we now have the addition of a jersey and a patch variation card. The 4 color patch variation card is a recent acquisition from eBay, just proves that if you keep searching those older cards can still show up. I've included scans of the backs of the parallel cards so that you can see the serial numbers.
BAP Millenium 1999-2000
There is a 1999-2000 BAP Millenium Series put out by In The Game, Inc. There was one card produced for my Iginla pc, card #39, but it has a bazillion parallels. Not only different colored parallels (eg. emerald, ruby, sapphire), but also a Signatures & Signatures Gold card. The parallel numbers really ramp up when you start looking at the show cards. We have the All-Star Fantasy, the Anaheim National, Chicago Sun-Times, Japan Sports Card Show, & the Toronto Spring Expo. They all have different colored parallels as well.
Topps Reserve 2001-2002
2001-02 Topps Reserve – Product DescriptionRelease Date: January 2002 Price: Approx. $75USD Per Hobby Box Configuration: 5 Cards Per Pack; 10 Packs Per Box
There were 10 Iginla cards produced for the 2003-2004 series. I've managed to pull all of them in.
Panini Dominion 2011-2012 Rainbows
Leaf Ultimate hockey 2018-2019
Panini Limited 2010-2011
These 2 pages represent the rainbow for card #4 (Jumbo Materials) from 2010-2011 Panini Limited. It is a 9 card rainbow, but I couldn't resist putting the shield card on both pages. The final card was the Jersey Number Auto Prime #/5, which I purchased at the Edmonton Expo in early May of 2023. (Jersey Number Signatures Prime is the correct title, but it was too long and messed up the spacing.)

BLACK DIAMOND AUTOS
Here are the autos from Black Diamond that are in my Iginla pc. The top row consists of the 2005-06 Gemography group in the following order: Ruby #/50, Emerald #/25, Base, Gold #/10. You can see the rest of the cards in their correct year sets by going to MORE in the top menu and scrolling down to Upper Deck Miscellaneous, then over to Black Diamond.
These cards represent all of the Limited Logos cards produced for Jarome Iginla from Upper Deck's series The Cup. They start in 2005-06, and end with the 2016-17 series. There were no Limited Logos cards produced for Jarome Iginla in the 2013-14, 2015-16, & 2017-18 series.
Here are 8 of the 9 cards that I know of for the 2002/2003 Heads Up series from Pacific. The top row of cards shows the variations for card #16. Apparently there is a Fall Expo #1/1 card for that group as well. The Fall Expo card at the bottom is for card #5 in the series.
