I love watching World Cup games, so when Panini came out with a soccer product I decided to buy a few boxes and start getting familiar with the players again. I started with 2 boxes and opened them in the store. One of the cards was very colorful, and looked different than the other cards. Turns out it was from a set called "National Landmarks", and the cards are listed as ultra-rare on the box. There are 32 players in the set, to reflect the 32 countries in the World Cup. Here is the set in all it's glory. Eleven cities will be hosting games, and twelve stadiums will be used (2 stadiums in Moscow). The stadiums used on each page are not meant to suggest that countries from that group will be playing their games at that location. I just wanted to highlight the stadiums. Panini did a great job with this product, it was a lot of fun to open. I decided to try making a "map/grid" with these cards as well, and the result can be seen below.

Ring LeadersSuperlative Hockey Volume II came out in April of 2010. I've always enjoyed building sets (eg. Decades, Decade Dominance, Cornerstones, 500 Goal Stick Rack, etc.) from ITG products, and there were a few to choose from in Superlative. Ring Leaders with it's vintage material and nod to NHL history caught my eye. There were 10 cards, not an overwhelming number to chase, and the theme was right up my alley. The set highlights NHL royalty from the '50's to the '80's, focusing on Stanley Cups & rings won.

There is a Silver set #/9 and a Gold set #/1. Later there were additional cards issued with Vault stamping on them.
